Brief Career Background:

Rebecca Yeager is an actor and educator who focuses in holistic performance techniques that integrate the mind, body, and voice, including yoga, stage combat, Lugering technique, and Commedia dell’Arte. She is an Intimacy and Fight Choreographer who loves reexamining classical texts, such as Shakespeare, Moliere, and Greek tragedy, as well as developing new works. In addition to her collegiate work and research, Rebecca has extensive experience with integrating theatre and early childhood education. She developed the Theatre for the Very Young Program at Birmingham Children’s Theatre where she served as a Resident Artist, Director of Education, and Artistic Development Coordinator before joining the Birmingham-Southern faculty full time. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of Southeastern Theatre Conference’s Theatre for Youth Division, Vice Chair of Alabama Theatre Conference’s Professional Division, and serves on the board of InToto Creative Arts Initiative.
