EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDURES

1.

Building Evacuation

A.

All building evacuations will occur on notification by the Building

Coordinator, Campus Police, or by individual choice when the emergency

dictates.

B.

When notification occurs, leave by the nearest marked exit and alert others

to do the same.

C.

Assist disabled persons leaving the building! Do not use elevators in the

event of fire, earthquakes, or other emergencies where you could become

trapped in the elevator.

D.

Once outside, proceed to a clear area that is at least 100 feet away from

the affected building. (To be determined by building coordinators.) Keep

streets, fire lanes, hydrant areas and walkways clear for emergency vehicles

and personnel.

2.

Campus Evacuation

A.

The evacuation of all or part of the campus grounds will be announced by

Campus Police or the Emergency Director.

B.

All persons are to vacate immediately the area in question and relocate to

another part of the campus or location as directed.
