Research

My research is indebted to theories of intertextuality, translation, and reception. I am currently revising my doctoral dissertation into a book entitled Imagining the Ancient Stage: The Poetics of Reception and Intertextuality in Jean Racine’s Classical Tragedies. I am also working on an article that explores the influence of Greek medical writings on Seneca’s heroines entitled “Melancholy Becomes Andromache: Depression and Hallucinatory Mourning in Seneca’s Troades.”
