This bird has very loud voice in the forest. You see one for every nine that you hear. Its voice is a noticeable three syllable chant going, "tea-kettle, tea-kettle, tea-kettle," or just simply, "chirpity, chirpity, chirpity, chirp." These are busy little birds, and they act quite nervous.
