Transcript Information

Requests for transcripts must be made in writing and require the signature of the student. Email and phone requests will not be accepted. Transcripts are processed and sent as soon as possible after a request is received; usually within 2 business days. During peak times such as commencement and registration, processing time may be longer. Transcripts will not be provided for students with overdue accounts with the College. The College DOES NOT provide faxed transcripts due to security, data transmission, and privacy considerations. The academic records office offers 3 options for transcript procurement:

Request it online through Transcripts on Demand for the quickest and most streamlined ordering. T.O.D. accepts Visa, Discover, AmEx, and MC credit cards. You will be able to select the mailing options of electronic delivery, USPS 1st class postal mail, or USPS Express Mail. A modest convenience fee will be included in the total fee of $10 per transcript. If you request delivery by USPS Express mail, a $30 charge will be added to this $10 fee.
Mail your request to us. Enclose check or money order in the amount of $5 per transcript. If you need Express Mailing, enclose $30.
Pick up in person at our service window. Fee is $5 for official copies.

Transcript FAQ

Electronic Delivery via “Transcripts on Demand” offers

the option of an electronic transcript to be sent within “network” institutions or to individuals including yourself. EScri'ps secure online payment accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Network Delivery - Use this link to see if your intended receiver institution is a member of the eScrip electronic network.

Non-Network Delivery – You should notify your intended recipient to expect an email message regarding the electronic delivery of your transcript. Encourage them to add the domain name of @eSCRIP-SAFE.com to their safe-sender email list. Non-network receivers must complete a simple registration for each transcript delivered through eSCRIP-SAFE®.

A printable request form can be submitted. If you don’t have a way to print our form, your written request must include:

Full name as it appears on your academic record. If you have legally changed your name, please include the "new" name as well.
Signature. (We cannot process your order without this).
Social security number or BSC ID number
Date of birth.
The last year you attended BSC. Please indicate if you were enrolled in one of our Graduate Programs.
Complete address where the transcript is to be mailed.
Your telephone number, home address and email address.
A personal check or money order made payable to “Birmingham-Southern College.”

Order in person

Transcripts may be picked up in our office M-F between the hours of 9:00am-3:30pm. Photo I.D. is required. Forms are available in our office or you can use our printable request form and bring it with you. Please call ahead if your last term of attendance was prior to Summer 1983. If someone other than yourself will pick up your transcript, please notify us in writing with the name of the person. They will need to present a photo I.D.
