The BSC Concert Choir, Southern Chorale, and Alumni Choir presents the 80th annual Service of Lessons and Carols, featuring awe-inspiring choral music for the holiday season. Performances are Friday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 4, at 4:30 p.m. at Canterbury United Methodist Church.

White named new head football coach
Tony Joe White has been named the new Birmingham-Southern College head football coach, Director of Athletics Kyndall Waters announced Nov. 14.

Eve Ensler’s Emotional Creature comes to BSC
A cast with female leads will share the heartbreak and thrills of being a girl in Birmingham-Southern College’s second stage production this fall, Emotional Creature, from Nov. 17-20.

Gallery features painting exhibition
The Durbin Gallery at Birmingham-Southern College will host Asheville, N.C.-based painter Virginia Derryberry's "Private Domain" exhibition for much of November. The collection will feature large-scale, figurative oil paintings on canvas alongside costume constructions.

College to benefit from $2.7 million grant to ACS
The Associated Colleges of the South received $2.7 million in funding from the Mellon Foundation to support faculty advancement. The five-year grant will enable BSC, as a member of the consortium, to provide financial support for faculty innovation.
