Student Organizations—More than 80 student organizations, including service, honorary, and special interest groups; 15 fraternities and sororities; musical groups, including three choirs; dance; theatre; school newspaper, yearbook, and literary magazine.
Student Activities—Enjoy late night Starbucks coffee and music in The Cellar Coffeehouse or poetry in The Attic, a swim in the indoor pool or grilling out on the residence hall quad, or an NCAA Division III sporting event or theater performance. By fall 2007, you will be relaxing and studying in our new lake/park area.
Residence Life—Some 85 percent of our students live on campus in residence halls which feature wireless Internet, laundry facilities, study and meeting areas, and much more.
Staying Fit—A cardiovascular workout room, two basketball/volleyball courts, two racquetball courts, a suspended indoor running/walking track, a swimming pool, an aerobics room, billiards and ping pong, and locker room facilities are available in our Striplin Fitness Center.
City Life—Birmingham-Southern students take advantage of the opportunities that our progressive city offers, whether it’s shopping in one of the many upscale malls, dining in one of the hundreds of restaurants, or visiting the entertainment center known as Southside.
Religious Life—Weekly opportunities include Chapel at Six, Wesley Fellowship, Catholic Campus Ministries, Baptist Campus Ministries, Episcopal Campus Ministries, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, Covenant Bible Study, Discipline Group, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, groups for Jewish, Muslim, and Hindu faiths, and more.
The Caf—Our newly remodeled Food Court includes a pizza and pasta bar, a salad bar, Subway, a made to order grille area, KFC, home cooked meals, frozen treats, a smoothie station, and more.
