Transfer Student Scholarships

To be eligible for transfer student scholarships, students must apply and be accepted to Birmingham-Southern with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Phi Theta Kappa members with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible for an annual renewable scholarship of up to $16,000.

Transfer Student Scholarship

Students who are transferring from a two-year or four-year college are eligible for scholarships up to $16,000. Minimum GPA is 3.0.

Note: A student cannot receive both a Phi Theta Kappa and Transfer Scholarship.

If you are currently enrolled at another institution, you must have final transcripts sent to BSC when your classes are complete.

Admission Requirements:

Applicants to Birmingham-Southern College who have previously attended a regionally accredited college or university must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for transfer admission:

Applicants must have a cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale as calculated by the Admission Office at BSC based on official transcripts.

Applicants must have a clean academic and social record with a status of good standing at the last institution attended.

To graduate from Birmingham-Southern, you must complete a two-year requirement (16 units).

Financial Aid

All students are encouraged to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to be considered for need-based financial aid.

95% of students receive some form of financial aid.

On-Campus Housing

BSC provides a variety of on-campus housing.
A deposit of $100 is required with your housing contract.

Orientation

All new transfer students will be invited to Transfer Day to be held in late July or early August. New student orientation is held a few days prior to the start of the fall semester.

Registration

To confirm enrollment at Birmingham-Southern College, students are required to pay a $200 deposit. If you have confirmed enrollment and are ready to discuss course selection, you may schedule an appointment to speak with Dr. Kim Lewis at 205/226- 4769.
