BSC participates in numerous special programs that require additional applications and processes. If you meet specific criteria, you may explore these programs.
Alabama Residents
BSC participates in the Alabama Student Grant (ASG) program which was established and is designed to provide financial assistance to residents of the State of Alabama for undergraduate non-sectarian, secular education at independent, non-profit, postsecondary institutions of higher learning located within the State of Alabama. The standard award is about $400/year.
United Methodist Students
Birmingham-Southern College is a national leader in providing financial assistance to United Methodist students, clergy families, and those called to ministry. Nominations for the UMC scholarships at BSC must come from the student's local church with confirmation of membership.
Veterans Administration
BSC participates fully in the Post 911 New GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon programs. Certificate of Eligibility must be on file with the School Certifying Official in Academic Records. BSC FA computes the level of funding from BSC, VA New GI Bill, and VA Yellow Ribbon in strict compliance with VA guidelines. Click here for more information on financial aid for veterans.
