Hilltop Photo of the Week

Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the Week” webpage and archives. Each week at this site, we'll feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus, along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo of the Week.

The college welcomes submissions to be considered for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can be e-mailed to the Office of Communications at pcole@bsc.edu, or photographic prints may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location and people involved.

Ready to be challenged—The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team, with Head Coach Andy Bonasera at the helm, is set to open its 2012 season Feb. 12 when the Panthers will travel to Lynchburg, Va., to take on eighth-ranked Lynchburg College. BSC opens its home campaign Feb. 22 against first-year team and fellow statesman Huntingdon College, and the 2012 schedule includes six other home games in Panther Stadium, as well as the 2012 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship, April 27-29. This year's squad is led by nine seniors, which include 2011 First-Team All-Conference defenseman David Litton, defenseman Chris Clarke (who led the team in ground balls over the past three seasons), 2011 Second-Team All-Conference midfielder Jacob McPherson, and midfielder D.J.
