Hilltop Photo of the Week
Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the
Week” webpage and archives. Each week at this site, we'll
feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus,
along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo
of the Week.
The college welcomes submissions to be considered
for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can
be e-mailed to the
Office of Communications at pcole@bsc.edu, or photographic prints
may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions
to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure
to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location
and people involved.

Greeks unite—Birmingham-Southern’s sorority and fraternity leaders turned out in big numbers for the 2nd annual Greek Leadership Retreat. Facilitated by the college’s Office of Student Development, the retreat was held Jan. 31 through Feb. 2 at Camp Winnataska in Pell City. Attending the retreat were executive members of BSC’s Panhellenic and Interfraternity councils, three student development staff members, and presidents and freshman and sophomore representatives from each of the 12 sorority and fraternity chapters on campus. Throughout the retreat, there were team-building activities and goal-setting discussions to familiarize Greek leaders and representatives with each other and to create bonding between the groups. “Throughout all the different activities, I could really tell that the representatives from each organization were learning a lot about what it meant to be a leader, and more specifically, a Greek leader,” said Nicklaus Lynch, a junior mathematics major from Muscle Shoals and member of Sigma Nu. "I can’t wait to see the college’s Greek system continue to improve.”
