Hilltop Photo of the Week
Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the Week” webpage and archives. Each week at this site, we'll feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus, along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo of the Week.
The college welcomes submissions to be considered for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can be e-mailed to the Office of Communications at firstname.lastname@example.org, or photographic prints may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location and people involved.

Spinning their wheels for wishes—Birmingham-Southern’s Chi Omega sorority has partnered with the Make a Wish Foundation of Georgia and Alabama for years to make children’s dreams come true. For this year’s fundraiser to benefit the foundation, the students recently traveled to Orange Beach to bike in Ride for Wishes, an event that raised more than $30,000 from sponsors—enough to grant four wishes to children with life-threatening diseases. Pictured (from left to right) are Amy Sessions, Camille Cannada, Virginia Seale, Sarah Pittman, Catherine Picou, Chloe Griffith, Elizabeth Pettey, Emily Fredericksen, and Hannah Burgess. The two-day fundraising event included a 17-mile fun cycling loop.
Career expo—More than 50 Alabama employers promoting open positions at their respective companies were on hand at the Birmingham-Southern Fall Career Fair and Opportunity Expo held Oct. 18 from 2-5 p.m. Some 75 BSC students and alumni explored career opportunities in finance, healthcare, technology, business, government, communications, entertainment, education, human services, and more—from entry-level to professional positions. The free event was sponsored by the college's Career Services Office.
