BSC Photo of the Week

Hilltop Photo of the Week

Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the Week” webpage and archives. Each week at this site, we'll feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus, along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo of the Week.

The college welcomes submissions to be considered for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can be e-mailed to the Office of Communications at pcole@bsc.edu, or photographic prints may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location and people involved.

Car clinic—The Campus Police Department at Birmingham-Southern recently offered members of the campus community a quick and easy way to get their vehicles inspected and helped ensure that students have safe travels over the fall break, which is Oct. 13-16. The campus police host the free inspection three times a year—fall break, spring break, and once before the summer—or upon request. The inspection includes a check of wipers, tire pressure, headlights, taillights, and fluid levels. Here, Deputy Chief Carl Wilson checks the fluid levels of a student’s vehicle at the college’s exit gate where the checkpoint was set up. The officers also reminded individuals to make sure their vehicles are in good working condition and to always wear a seatbelt.
