Hilltop Photo of the Week
Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the
Week” webpage and archives. Each week at this site, we'll
feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus,
along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo
of the Week.
The college welcomes submissions to be considered
for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can
be e-mailed to the
Office of Communications at pcole@bsc.edu, or photographic prints
may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions
to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure
to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location
and people involved.

Comedy in three acts—Under the artistic direction of Dr. Alan Litsey, the Birmingham-Southern Department of Theatre and Dance will launch its 2010-11 season with the comical stage play Light Up the Sky. Penned by the Pulitzer Prize-winning American playwright Moss Hart, the story revolves around a group of New York theatre-folk who attend the opening of their new play in Boston. When it appears the play may not be well received, their hotel room becomes home to temper tantrums and accusations of a hilarious nature. Shown during a rehearsal performance are Kelsey Shipley (on left), a junior musical theatre major from Chattanooga, who is portraying Frances Black, and Emma Palmer, a senior musical theatre major from Atlanta, who is playing the role of Stella Livingston. Performances are Oct. 7-9 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 10 at 2:30 p.m. at the College Theatre/Mainstage. For ticket information, please contact the College Theatre Box Office at 205/226-4780.
