Hilltop Photo of the Week
Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the
Week” web page and archives. Each week at this site, we'll
feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus,
along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo
of the Week.
The college welcomes submissions to be considered
for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can
be e-mailed to the
Office of Communications at bwagnon@bsc.edu, or photographic prints
may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions
to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure
to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location
and people involved.

Violin-piano duo—Violinist Karen Bentley Pollick recently premiered a new work by California composer Samuel Adams (pictured at right), son of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Adams, at a duo-recital with Australian-born New York pianist Lisa Moore (at left) on the Birmingham-Southern campus. The recital also included Martin Bresnick's Bird as Prophet and John Adams' Road Movies, among other pieces. Pollick, wife of BSC President David Pollick, is a well-known performer of contemporary music.

Career resources—At the Birmingham-Southern Spring Career Fair March 11, former BSC college roommates Amelia Logan '94 and Gabrielle Smith '91 reunite and reminisce about their time on the Hilltop. The fair allowed students and alumni to connect with Alabama employers and explore job opportunities. The event was hosted by the college's Career Counseling Office.
