Hilltop Photo of the Week
Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the Week” web page and archives. Each week at this site, we'll feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus, along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo of the Week.
The college welcomes submissions to be considered for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can be e-mailed to the Office of Communications at bwagnon@bsc.edu, or photographic prints may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location and people involved.

Scholarship dinner—Birmingham-Southern Rushton Scholarship recipients of the past four years got a chance to thank their donors in person during a recent dinner at the Mountain Brook home of Colonel and Mrs. William James Rushton III (pictured). The Rushton Scholars are (from left) David Miller, a senior; Kelly Roszczynialski, a sophomore; James Randolph, a junior; Alex Masterson, a sophomore; and Daniel Burgin, a freshman. This year's Rushton Scholarship for the most outstanding freshman amounts to full tuition; room and board; and an annual stipend for summer travel, study abroad, or special projects. It is the preeminent scholarship awarded by the college. High school seniors are selected for the scholarship based upon demonstrated merit, leadership, and activism in the community. BSC Donor Relations Manager and Campaign Administrator Maggie McDonald coordinated the dinner.
