BSC Photo of the Week

Hilltop Photo of the Week

Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the Week” web page and archives. Each week at this site, we'll feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus, along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo of the Week.

The college welcomes submissions to be considered for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can be e-mailed to the Office of Communications at bwagnon@bsc.edu, or photographic prints may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location and people involved.

Winter theatre repertoire—The Birmingham-Southern Department of Theatre and Dance will present two productions on campus this month, which will be staged Jan. 24-31 at the College Theatre. Our Town, written by Thornton Wilder and directed by BSC Professor of Theatre Dr. Alan Litsey, will transport the audience to Grover's Corners, N.H., at the beginning of the 20th century for a heartfelt look at life and death in a small-town. BSC students (pictured from left to right) Elisabeth Tutwiler, Nikki Craft, and Mac Smith co-star in Our Town in the roles of Mrs. Gibbs, Mrs. Webb, and Mr. Gibbs, respectively. A Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Our Town will be shown Jan. 24, 26, 28 & 30 at 7:30 p.m. on the mainstage. The second play Marry Me a Little, directed by BSC Director of Major Gifts Pat Anderson-Flowers, is a musical tale about love, loneliness, and life as a single person. BSC Theatre Professor Michael Flowers and BSC alumna and Vice President for Institutional Advancement Adelia Patrick Thompson will star in the production. It will be performed Jan. 25, 29, & 31 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 27 at 2:30 p.m. in Theatre One.
