Photo of the Week
Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the Week” web page and archives. Each week at this site, we'll feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus, along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo of the Week.
The college welcomes submissions to be considered for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can be e-mailed to the Office of Communications at bwagnon@bsc.edu, or photographic prints may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location and people involved.
Cited for outstanding teaching—An assistant professor of psychology at Birmingham-Southern has won the 2007 Bob Whetstone Faculty Development Award. Dr. Tricia Witte (second from left), recently received the award from (from far left) BSC Provost Dr. Kathleen Murray and Dr. Bob and Janelle Whetstone. The cash award, named for the professor emeritus and former chair of the Division of Education at BSC, is presented annually to a non-tenured faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in teaching during the previous year. Witte joined the BSC faculty in 2004 and earned her doctorate in psychology from the University of Arkansas. She will use her cash award for development and travel.
