Hilltop Photo of the Week

Welcome to Birmingham-Southern’s “Hilltop Photo of the Week” web page and archives. Each week at this site, we’ll feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus, along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo of the Week.

The college welcomes submissions to be considered for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can be e-mailed to the Office of Communications at bwagnon@bsc.edu, or photographic prints may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location and people involved.

Photo of the Week

A Biblical journey—Thirty-two Birmingham-Southern students and two staff members, guided by BSC Bishop-in-Residence Bob Morgan, spent the majority of the January Interim term exploring Biblical and archeological sites in Greece, Asia Minor, and Italy. Tracing “The Footsteps of Paul,” the group visited and studied the lands associated with the ancient apostle and his Christian missionary journeys. Pictured above, students sit among the ruins of the Acropolis of Pergamum in Turkey. In the photo below, Morgan (kneeling, far right) leads the group to an area in Berea, Greece, that commemorates Paul’s preaching in the city. As the college’s 39th Interim term comes to a close, BSC students are about to begin the spring term Feb. 6, following a brief winter break.
