Hilltop Photo of the Week Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the Week” web page and archives. Each week at this site, we'll feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus, along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo of the Week. The college welcomes submissions to be considered for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can be e-mailed to the Office of Communications at bwagnon@bsc.edu, or photographic prints may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location and people involved. Learning the A, B, C's of trash—Teachers from across the state of Alabama converged on the Birmingham-Southern campus July 17-22, 2005, to participate in a summer program on environmental education. The institute, conducted by Legacy Inc., Partners in Environmental Education, was held in the college's Southern Environmental Center for the fourth consecutive year. For the past week, Alabama teachers gained knowledge and information on implementing subjects such as preventing pollution, natural resources, waste management, and ecology into their school curriculums. Pictured in front of the “wall of trash,” one of the interactive displays in the environmental center, are Hunter Bruce, Spreadlite Organics; Laura Burke, Spain Park High School, Hoover City Schools; Tiffany Moore, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Calhoun County; and David Taylor, Bryant Career Tech Center, Mobile City Schools.
