BSC Photo of the Week

Hilltop Photo of the Week

Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the Week” web page and archives. Each week at this site, we'll feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus, along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo of the Week.

The college welcomes submissions to be considered for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can be e-mailed to the Office of Communications at bwagnon@bsc.edu, or photographic prints may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location and people involved.

Air Pollick—Birmingham-Southern President David Pollick goes airborne for yet another kill during a charity volleyball match April 20, pitting a faculty team against the Chi Omega sorority team. Actually, it may have been the president's only kill in a lopsided defeat, but it was all for a good cause. Known as Zeta Tau Aloha and sponsored by the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, all proceeds from the volleyball tournament and Hawaiian cookout on the residence hall quad go to support The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. This is the third year that Zeta Tau Alpha has sponsored the fund-raiser. Another faculty team, which included Pollick, played in the men's bracket and finished second to a team of BSC soccer and basketball players. Chi Omega won the women's bracket.
