Hilltop Photo of the Week Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the Week” web page and archives. Each week at this site, we'll feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus, along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo of the Week. The college welcomes submissions to be considered for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can be e-mailed to the Office of Communications at bwagnon@bsc.edu, or photographic prints may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location and people involved. I said I wanted a treat!—A good time was had by all at Birmingham-Southern's annual Halloween on the Hilltop festival held on the residence hall quad Oct. 31. Well, most of the nearly 1,000 in attendance had a good time. A few of the members of the new pledge class for Sigma Chi fraternity spent the evening getting pies of whipping cream to the face courtesy of the ghosts and goblins at the annual event. The college's Panhellenic Council sponsors Halloween on the Hilltop for the children of faculty and staff, as well as students from several nearby schools. Several student groups on campus set up booths of games and goodies for the children. Other events included a haunted house, trick or treating in a residence hall, and a costume contest. |
