Welcome to Birmingham-Southern's “Hilltop Photo of the
Week” web page and archives. Each week at this site, we'll
feature a photo that depicts some aspect of life on the Hilltop campus,
along with brief information about what is taking place in the Photo
of the Week.
The college welcomes submissions to be considered
for the Hilltop Photo of the Week. Scanned or digital photos can
be e-mailed to the
Office of Communications at bwagnon@bsc.edu, or photographic prints
may be sent through campus mail to Box 549004. Please limit photo submissions
to those that depict some aspect of the BSC experience, and be sure
to identify what is taking place in the photo, along with location
and people involved.

A student tribute—The Birmingham-Southern
Student Government Association sponsored a tribute dinner April
5 to honor retiring President Dr. Neal R. Berte and First Lady
Anne Berte and their family. The overflow event in the Bruno Great
Hall of the Norton Campus Center featured nearly 600 students,
faculty, staff, alumni, Board of Trustees members, and others,
including several past SGA presidents and former President's
Office assistants. The tribute included a humorous look back by
Berte at some of the lighter moments of his more than 28-year tenure
at Birmingham-Southern. Following the dinner, the more than 300
students present gathered in the atrium area of the Norton Campus
Center for a group photo with Dr. and Mrs. Berte. Photo by Charles
Horn '04, BSC art/photography major from Goodwater.
