BSC Photo of the Week

Hilltop Photo of the Week

July 7, 2003

The Birmingham-Southern campus has to sleep sometime, or so says Keith Rogers, a junior undecided major from Memphis, Tenn. Rogers took this photo of the college's Alumni Plaza & Fountain area on the night of July 2. “The reason I thought it would be a good picture of the week is because the campus has to sleep sometime; it's not busy all the time.” When the campus is awake, the Alumni Plaza & Fountain area is a favorite outside gathering spot for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors to campus, where they can enjoy a meal from the Caf, study, have a relaxing conversation, or just admire the beautiful campus setting. The Alumni Plaza & Fountain area replaced the old Fountain Plaza area when the Norton Campus Center was opened in 1999. Rogers, who has been pursuing photography as a hobby for the past five years, says he took the photo with a digital camera and retouched it using Adobe Photoshop.
