Birmingham-Southern College again included in annual “Fiske Guide to Colleges”

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern is among the 300-plus colleges and universities in the U.S., Canada, and Great Britain highlighted in the 2014 “Fiske Guide to Colleges” released this month.Fiske Guide

Compiled by former “New York Times” education editor Edward B. Fiske, the “Fiske Guide to Colleges” examines a broad range of subjects such as academic climate, social life, campus setting, financial aid, and extracurricular activities.

Other features of the “Fiske Guide to Colleges” include:

  • Overlap school suggestions based on which colleges share the most common applications
  • A list of schools where ACT and SAT scores are optional
  • A pre-professional guide that outlines the best schools based on majors or course of study
  • A Sizing-Yourself-Up questionnaire that will help you figure out what kind of school is best for you

The source book is now in its 30th year of issuing annual evaluations of colleges and universities. It is available in bookstores and online.
