Birmingham-Southern students elect 2010 homecoming queen and king

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Tiffany Dy of Clanton and Lee Hopf of Warner Robins, Ga., were crowned the 2010 Birmingham-Southern Homecoming Queen and King during halftime ceremonies of the college's 2010 homecoming football game against Sewanee Oct 23.

Dy, a senior biology major, is the daughter of Dr. Ritky and Roxanne Dy. She is past president of Chi Omega sorority, vice president of Order of Omega, president of Omicron Delta Kappa, and a member of Mortar Board.

Hopf, a senior English major, is the son of Mike and Melinda Hopf. He is BSC's Student Government Association president and a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, Sigma Tau Delta honor society, and the Panther football team.

Dy and Hopf were elected by vote of the student body.

Named senior attendants during the 2010 homecoming week festivities were: Lindsay Brigham of Germantown, Tenn., a business administration major and the daughter of Terry and Carolyn Brigham; Jacob Conner of Montgomery, a mathematics/economics major and the son of George and Kris Conner; Reed Kramer of Knoxville, Tenn., a studio art major and the son of Wayne Kramer and the late Sarah Kramer; Daniel Osula of Jasper, a biology major and the son of Claude and Candy Osula; Brooklyn Peterson of Homewood, an art education major and the daughter of Keith and Marie Peterson; and Melissa Revis of Elkmont, a mathematics major and the daughter of John and Angella Revis.

Named junior attendants were: Camille Cannada of Jackson, Miss., an urban environmental studies major and the daughter of Donnie and Joy Cannada; Patrick Ewbank of Baton Rouge, La., a business major and the son of Greg and Wendi Ewbank; McGinty Chilcutt of West Point, Miss., a chemistry major and the son of Jack and Laurie Chilcutt; and Haley Nock of Pinson a collaborative education major and the daughter of Donnie and Naomi Nock.

Named sophomore attendants were: Grace Elliott of Jasper, a business administration major and the daughter Hoyt and Libba Elliott; Rachel Levinson of Chelsea, an art/psychology major and the daughter of Jim and Mariella Levinson; Coty Lovelady of Montevallo, a religion/photography major and the son of Joey and Jan Lovelady; and Hunt Shephard of Huntsville, a business major and the son of Tazewell and Cynthia Shephard.

Named freshman attendants were: Kayla Higgins of Dora, a vocal performance/pre-health major and the daughter of Randy and Jolei Higgins; Robbie Hindsman of Gadsden, a musical theatre major and the son of Scott and Teresa Hindsman; Lauren Smith of Huntsville, a biology major and the daughter of Nancy Smith; and Will Upchurch of St. Augustine, Fla., a history major and the son of Tracy and Beth Upchurch.
