Birmingham-Southern College student receives honors program award

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-Birmingham-Southern student Laura Chaires of Louisville, Ky., is the recipient of the Honors Program Senior Award presented during the college's 2010 Honors Day Convocation.

The award recognizes a senior member of the college's Harrison Honors Program who has an exceptional academic record, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to service and interdisciplinary studies.

Chaires, an English major, is the daughter of Jonathan Chaires and Deborah Levine.
