Birmingham-Southern College hosts annual BACHE Women's Conference, keynote speaker Dr. Sandral Hullett

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College will host the fourth annual Birmingham Area Consortium of Higher Education (BACHE) Women's Conference with keynote speaker Dr. Sandral Hullett, director Cooper Green Mercy Hospital. The conference will take place March 2 at the BSC Norton Campus Center from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The conference, titled “Women, Health, and Community: Alabama and Beyond,” will begin with the keynote address by Hullett on the topic “Challenges Faced by Americans Without Health Care.” Lunch will be served at noon. Four afternoon sessions will include the topics health care disparities, women and mental health care, women in the health care professions, and a call to action.

The conference is open to the public at a cost of $25, including a box lunch. Students may attend for a cost of $15, including a box lunch. Registration is required to attend lunch.

BACHE is a local higher education consortium consisting of Birmingham-Southern, Miles College, Montevallo University, Samford University, and UAB.
