Birmingham-Southern announces 2010 winter/spring calendar of events

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College announces its schedule of 2010 winter/spring major events. Please refer to the listed phone numbers should you need more information. Admission is free to all events unless otherwise noted. Sports schedules for men's and women's athletic events can be viewed by visiting www.bscsports.net. The college's winter/spring events include:

Jan. 10-22
Biennial Southeastern Art Competition: BSC @ BSC.
Featuring juried competition winners from the works of high school artists from 10 Southeastern states. Durbin Gallery, Kennedy Art Center/Azar Art Studios, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Opening reception Jan. 10, 3-5 p.m. Contact 205/226-4928.

Jan. 26-29
“Hamlet.”
By William Shakespeare. College Theatre, Theatre One, Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 p.m. General public reservations begin January 12. BSC Faculty Exhibition.

The Birmingham Art Music Alliance: New Music by Alabama Composers.

Faulty Voice Recital: At the Statue of Venus.

Dorsey and Frances Whittington Competition Winners.

Colla Voce: An Evening of Chamber Opera
