News from the HilltopFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Decatur resident elected 2009-10 SGA president at Birmingham-SouthernBIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern College Student Government Association has elected officers and representatives to lead the campus governing body during the 2009-10 academic year. Will Breland of Decatur is the college's SGA president beginning fall 2009. Breland is a junior history major and the son of David and Drama Breland. He is a graduate of Decatur High School. Other students elected as executive officers are Mary Catherine McAnnally, a junior English major from Mountain Brook and the daughter of Sid and April McAnnally, 1st vice president; Lee Hopf, a junior English major from Warner Robins, Ga., and the son of Michael and Melinda Hopf, 2nd vice president; Ben Odendahl, a junior political science major from Hampton Cove and the son of Donald and Kathy Odendahl, secretary; and Amy Sessions, a sophomore biology major from Grand Bay and the daughter of Lee and Elizabeth Sessions, treasurer. BSC students elected as SGA representatives for the 2009-10 academic year, listed by hometown and position, are: ANNISTON: Faith Dorn, an elementary/collaborative education major, sophomore representative. BIRMINGHAM Area: Bessemer Cut-Off: Kate LeCroy, a biology major, sophomore representative. Hoover/Vestavia: Kriti Mishra, a business administration major from Hoover, commuter representative; Avani Patel, an accounting major from Vestavia, commuter representative; and Ashley Rhea, a political science major from Vestavia, junior representative. BATON ROUGE, LA.: Rebecca Broussard, a business administration major, sophomore representative. DAPHNE: Amy Monroe, an undeclared major, senior representative. DECATUR: Zach Guyse, a history major, men's dorm representative. FAIRHOPE: Morgan Sanders, a business administration major, apartment representative.
