BSC student named outstanding international student

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern freshman Tianran Geng of College Hills is the recipient of the Genzan Chiba Outstanding International Student Award.

The award honors the memory of the former BSC student who attended the college in the fall of 1986 and winter of 1987. It is presented each year to an international student who, like Chiba, shows dedication, leadership and service to the college.

An undeclared major, Geng is a native of Shanghai, China, and is the son of Huilan Wang and Xiaohong Geng.
