Birmingham-Southern receives regional and national Greek organization honor roll awards

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.— Birmingham-Southern College fraternities and sororities recently received Gamma Sigma Alpha National Academic Greek Honor Society honor roll and grade-point average awards for the spring and fall 2008 semesters. The honor roll represents the top 5 percent of fraternity and sorority communities in North America.

The BSC fraternities were recognized as regional grade-point average winners for the spring and fall 2008 semesters. The BSC sororities were recognized as regional grade-point average winners for the fall 2008 semester.

Both the BSC fraternity and sorority communities were named to the honor roll for the spring and fall semesters. This award honors Greek communities with the highest positive gap between the grade-point averages of their organizations and all other students.

Gamma Sigma Alpha National Academic Greek Honor Society, which consists of more than 200 chapters, is the premier organization committed to the academic success of its members and aligning with the academic missions of the institutions that house the chapters.
