News from the HilltopFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Birmingham-Southern College student places in regional science competition BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College senior Natalie Ausborn won third place in the Meeting in Miniature Undergraduate Poster Competition at the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society held in Nashville last November. Ausborn, one of 190 students who competed in this category, presented a scientific research poster titled “Effect of NAMI-A on K-Ras-mediated Oncogenic Transformation and Signal Transduction.” She was awarded a travel grant to a future American Chemical Society meeting. The American Chemical Society, a nonprofit organization chartered by Congress, is the world's largest scientific society and one of the world's leading sources of authoritative scientific information. |
