Birmingham-Southern College student places in regional science competition

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College senior Natalie Ausborn won third place in the Meeting in Miniature Undergraduate Poster Competition at the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society held in Nashville last November. Ausborn, one of 190 students who competed in this category, presented a scientific research poster titled “Effect of NAMI-A on K-Ras-mediated Oncogenic Transformation and Signal Transduction.” She was awarded a travel grant to a future American Chemical Society meeting.

Ausborn, a biological chemistry major from Gadsden, is the daughter of Londa and Steve Ausborn.
