Birmingham-Southern announces Greek society leadership positions

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College is pleased to announce positions of leadership for its Greek society members.

The following BSC students have been elected to the Interfraternity Council Executive Board for 2009. The council is the governing board of the six national fraternities on the BSC campus. Listed by office and hometown, the men are:

President: Taylor Pearson, a sophomore undeclared major from Eads, Tenn., and the son of Richard and Freida Pearson. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Order fraternity.

Vice President of Judicial: Clifton Byrd, a sophomore business administration major from Baton Rouge, La., and the son of Richard and Lori Byrd. He is a member of Theta Chi fraternity.

Vice President of Recruitment: Daniel Osula, a sophomore biology major from Jasper, and the son of Claude and Kehinde Osula. He is a member of Theta Chi fraternity.

Vice President of Administration: Paul Williams, a sophomore undeclared major from Meridian, Miss., and the son of Dr. Ralph and Jan Williams. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Order fraternity.

Vice President of Campus Programming: Christopher George, a sophomore biological chemistry major from Montgomery, and the son of Dr. David and Brenda George. He is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Vice President of Campus Relations: Jacob Conner, a sophomore math and economics major from Montgomery, and the son of George and Kris Conner. He is a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

The following BSC students have been elected to the Panhellenic Council Executive Board for 2009. The council is the governing body of the six national Panhellenic sororities on the BSC campus. Listed by office and hometown, the women are:

President: Allison Bovell, a junior religion major from Hixson, Tenn., and the daughter of Charles and Bess Bovell. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.

President Elect: Kelly Roszczynialski, a sophomore biology major from Lafayette, La., and the daughter of Bruce Navarre and Lori Roszczynialski. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.

Vice President of Recruitment: Kate Horton, a sophomore psychology major from Mountain Brook, and the daughter of William and Maura Horton. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.

Vice President of Administration: Jeralyn Jersey, a junior business administration major from Pittsburgh, Pa., and the daughter of Karen Jersey and James Jersey. She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

Vice President of Campus Activities: Joanna Glaw, a junior accounting major from Austin, Texas, and the daughter of Jack and Margaret Glaw. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority.

Vice President of Public Relations: Margaret Johnson, a sophomore biology major from Atlanta, Ga., and the daughter of Robert and Nevelle Johnson. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.

Alpha Tau Omega: Henry Gibson, a sophomore interdisciplinary philosophy/religion major from Vestavia, and the son of LuAnn and Vincent Hodges.

Kappa Alpha Order: Chris Cage, a junior accounting major from Newnan, Ga., and the son of Rodney and Catherine Cage.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon: Alex Blackman, a junior business administration major from Nashville, Tenn., and the son of Robert and Brooks Mathews.

Sigma Chi: David “Wes” George, a sophomore undeclared major from Germantown, Tenn., and the son of David and Mary George.

Sigma Nu: Frank Breaux, a junior history major from Baton Rouge, La., and the son of Frank and Susan Breaux.

Theta Chi: Brian Smith, a junior religion major from Lawrenceville, Ga., and the son of William and Chris Smith.

Alpha Omicron Pi: Elizabeth Walker, a sophomore business administration major from Baton Rouge, La., and the daughter of Myron and Hattie Walker.

Chi Omega: Tiffany Dy, a sophomore biology major from Clanton and the daughter of Ritky and Teresita Dy.

Kappa Delta: Kayse Eckelman, a junior international studies major from Livingston, Texas, and the daughter of Kalita Bodnar.

Pi Beta Phi: Kathleen Smith, a junior interdisciplinary philosophy/political science/economics major from Hixson, Tenn., and the daughter of Scott and Margaret Smith.

Zeta Tau Alpha: Kelly Gronemeyer, a freshman elementary/collaborative education major from Muscle Shoals and the daughter of Donna Gronemeyer and John Gronemeyer.
