Birmingham-Southern College senior wins prestigious Fulbright scholarship for international education exchange

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Missy Golson, a graduating senior from Birmingham-Southern College, has been awarded an English Teaching Assistantship Fulbright scholarship.

For one academic year beginning in August, Golson will teach conversational English at a secondary school in Indonesia. In addition, she will be researching how modernization and tradition affect women in the culture of Indonesia.

Golson, a native of Montgomery, will graduate from BSC May 18 with a degree in political science. She is the daughter of William and Kathy Golson.
