Two Birmingham-Southern College students receive academic achievement award

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College seniors Chase Henderson Gore of Mountain Brook and Andrew Edward Morris of Hoover are the recipients of the John Marshall Gersting Economics and Business Administration Prize presented during the college's 2008 Honors Day Convocation.

The award, presented by the college's Business and Accounting Department, recognizes undergraduate students in the department who have achieved the highest grade-point average.

Gore is an economics major and the son of Drs. Ira and Cynthia Gore. Morris is a business administration major and the son of Yancy and Rosalyn Morris. Both students will graduate from Birmingham-Southern May 18.
