Local students receive Birmingham-Southern College accounting awards

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Four Birmingham-Southern College students are the recipients of the J.G.H. Morris Scholarship for academic excellence in accounting.

The awards, presented during the college's 2008 Honors Day Convocation, are sponsored by the college's Department of Business and Accounting and presented to senior accounting students. This year's award recipients are:

John Boutwell of Shelbyville, Tenn., a junior accounting major and the son of John and Connie Boutwell.

Susan Fant of Gadsden, a junior accounting major and the daughter of George and Jane Fant.

Justin Fargason of Hoover, a junior business administration major and the son of John and Lynn Fargason.

Kaylee Osland of Littleton, Colo., a junior accounting major and the daughter of John and Lynn Osland.
