Birmingham-Southern professor receives award at annual accounting conference
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Ron Stunda, associate professor of accounting at Birmingham-Southern College, was recently presented the Distinguished Manuscript Award at the spring conference of the Academy of Accounting and Financial Studies.
Stunda received the award for his paper titled “The WalMart Effect on the Securities Market.” The conference, held recently in Tunica, Miss., was attended by more than 300 academics from eight countries representing 132 colleges and universities.
