Birmingham-Southern College mixed chorale to present annual spring concert

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Southern Chorale of Birmingham-Southern College, under the direction of BSC Professor of Music Dr. David J. Smith, will present its annual spring concert Monday, April 28, in Hill Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend, and admission is free.

The performance will include two settings of Psalm 96 “Sing to the Lord a New Song,” one old and one new. Framed by these settings, the remainder of the program will include a three-poem cycle, “Voices of Earth,” two pieces for the men’s chorus, and several compositions by contemporary composers.
