Season closing concert to feature Birmingham-Southern student choir and faculty

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham Art Music Alliance closing concert for the 2007-08 season will include performances by the Birmingham-Southern College Concert Choir under the direction of Dr. Lester Seigel, who is the Joseph Hugh Thomas Professor of Music at BSC. Other performers include pianist Adam Bowles, piano instructor at BSC; cellist Craig Hultgren, music instructor at BSC; and violinist Karen Bentley Pollick.; All will perform “The Sun is Going Down,” composed by recent BSC guest professor Jan Vičar.

The concert will be March 4 at 7 p.m. in the Alys Stephens Center Reynolds/Kirschbaum Recital Hall.
