Birmingham-Southern faculty member's art to be included in Czech Republic exhibit

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The work of Steve Cole, professor of art at Birmingham-Southern College, will be presented in an art exhibit opening in Prague, Czech Republic, Oct. 30. The college is the only U.S. partner institution in this unique global consortium of universities.

The exhibit, titled Figurama 2007, will open with an inauguration by Mirek Topolánek, prime minister of the Czech Republic. It is organized by the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, and the Institute of Art and Design of the University of West Bohemia, Pilsen.

The exhibition will be displayed on the premises of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague.
