News from the HilltopFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Birmingham-Southern College elects first football Homecoming Queen and King since 1939BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Kadie Ann Duren of Hoover and Jeff Tullis of Gadsden were crowned the 2007 Birmingham-Southern College Homecoming Queen and King during halftime ceremonies of the Homecoming football game against conference foe DePauw University Oct. 6. The pair was selected in a campus-wide vote of the student body. BSC Homecoming Queen and King 2007 Kadie Ann Duren and Jeff Tullis.Duren, a senior psychology major, is the daughter of Bynum and Cathy Duren. Tullis, also a senior psychology major, is the son of Jan Tullis. Named senior attendants during the Homecoming festivities were Mallory Burns, a biology major from McCalla and the daughter of Dr. Raymond and Anita Burns; Matt Hull, a pre-med major from Decatur, and the son of Jeffrey and Deborah Hull; Chris Luketic, an accounting major from Vestavia and the son of Dr. Davor and Dianne Luketic; and Jocelyn Smith, a dance major from Tupelo, Miss., and the daughter of Jack Smith of Tupelo and Stacey Hollingsworth of Memphis, Tenn. Junior attendants were Trey Cotney, a biology major from Pelham and the son of William and Debbie Cotney; Catherine Cummings, an accounting major from Hoover and the daughter of Hugh and Lynn Cummings; and Anna Underwood, a music major from Homewood and the daughter of Jeffrey and Melinda Underwood. Sophomore attendants were Frank Breaux, a political science major from Baton Rouge, La., and the son of Frank and Susan Breaux; Kathleen Hillen, an undecided major from Tupelo, Miss., and the daughter of Walter and Jan Hillen; Marie Hunt, a theatre arts major from Fort Payne and the daughter of James and Mary Hunt; and Kamari Little, an international studies major from Tuscaloosa and the son of Jacqueline Little and Eddie Townsend. Freshman attendants were Charles Crutchfield, a biology major from Tuscaloosa and the son of Robert and Constance Crutchfield; Nina Diamantis, an undecided major from Ryland and the daughter of Panagiotis and Erica Diamantis; Sarah Garrett, a theatre arts major from Homewood and the daughter of Nancy Garrett of Homewood and Benjamin Garrett of Dothan; and Caleb Story, a biology major from Decatur and the son of Charles and Cathy Story. |
