Birmingham-Southern College students selected for business honorary

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College is pleased to announce top honors for students in the college's Department of Business and Accounting. Six BSC seniors were recently inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society. They are:

Lauren Ambler of Lafayette, La., a business administration major; Stephanie Boucher of Opelika, a business administration major; Melissa Latko of Hoover, an accounting major; Jessica Smith of College Hills, an accounting major; Lisa Swartzfager of Meridian, Miss., an accounting major; and Alana Jo Thaxton of Tarrant, a business administration major.

Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can achieve in a program accredited the organization.
