Alabaster resident receives scholarship award at Birmingham-Southern College

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Amanda Michelle Kramer of Alabaster is the recipient of the Mary Jean Parson Scholarship award presented during the college's 2007 Honors Day Convocation.

The award memorializes the late distinguished alumna of the college who was a 1956 Phi Beta Kappa graduate and later a leader in the Birmingham arts community. It is given to a worthy female in her sophomore year who is interested in the field of theatre.

An undecided major, Kramer is the daughter of James and Lynette Kramer.
