Local students receive Birmingham-Southern College accounting awards
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College students Shannon Kee of Madison and Andrew Morris of Hoover are the recipients of the J.G.H. Morris Scholarship for academic excellence in accounting. Kee is also the recipient of the Becker Conviser Professional Review Course Scholarship.
Both awards, presented during the college’s 2007 Honors Day Convocation, are sponsored by the college’s Department of Business and Accounting and presented to senior accounting students. The Becker Conviser Professional Review Course Scholarship recognizes students who serve as student representatives for Becker Conviser. It is a $2,250 scholarship to attend the Becker Conviser Professional Review Course for CPA examination.
Kee is an accounting major and the daughter of Stephen and Patricia Kee. Morris is a business administration major and the son of Yancy and Rosalyn Morris. Both will graduate from Birmingham-Southern May 26.
