Two Birmingham-Southern College students receive academic achievement award
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College seniors Alana Jo Thaxton of Tarrant and Marcus Dillender of Rockwell, Texas, are the recipients of the John Marshall Gersting Economics and Business Administration Prize presented during the college’s 2007 Honors Day Convocation.
The award, presented by the college’s Business and Accounting Department, recognizes undergraduate students in the department who have achieved the highest grade-point average.
Thaxton is a business administration major and the daughter of Joann Thaxton. Dillender is an economics/math major and the son of Robert and Sherry Dillender. Both students will graduate from Birmingham-Southern May 26.
