Local student receives Birmingham-Southern College student math achievement award

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern student Megan Rybolt of Hixson, Tenn., is the recipient of the Ouida Blackerby Kinzey Scholarship Award presented during the college’s 2007 Honors Day Convocation.

The award was established in memory of Kinzey, who was a longtime professor of math at Birmingham-Southern. It is presented to a sophomore, junior, or senior student for outstanding academic achievement in math and meaningful involvement in campus activities.

Rybolt is a junior math major and the daughter of Thomas and Anne Rybolt
