Birmingham-Southern College's graduate business school to host recruiting luncheons
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern College Master of Arts in Public and Private Management program will host two information luncheons in May. Dr. Stephen Craft, chair of the division of business and accounting at the college, will speak at both luncheons to give a brief overview of the MPPM program.
The first luncheon will be May 8 at the Summit Club atop the Harbert Plaza in downtown Birmingham. Guest speakers will be MPPM alumni David C. Smitherman, president of the Better Business Bureau, and Michael G. Perez, program manager for the UAB Center for Computational and Structural Biology. Both will talk about how their MPPM degree has positively impacted their career. This one-hour luncheon targets prospective students as well as human resource directors who are interested in education opportunities for their employees. The second luncheon will be May 17 on the campus of Birmingham-Southern, and is specifically designed for directors of local nonprofit agencies. Guest speakers will be MPPM alumna Karen Rolen of the Community Foundation and Smitherman. A time for individual questions and answers is a key component of the luncheon.
