Birmingham-Southern College elects 2007 Homecoming Queen

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Sarah Glidewell of Marietta, Ga., was crowned the 2007 Birmingham-Southern College Homecoming Queen during halftime ceremonies of the women's Homecoming basketball game against conference foe Radford Feb. 24.

Glidewell, a senior religion major, is the daughter of Dr. Samuel and Patricia Glidewell. She was selected in a campus-wide vote of the student body.BSC Homecoming Queen 2007 Sara Glidewell

Named senior attendants during the Homecoming festivities were Jenna Lyle of Carrollton, Ga., a music major and the daughter of Mike and Cathie Lyle, and Blair Wilters, an elementary/collaborative education major from Foley and the daughter of Robert and Amelia Wilters.

Junior attendants were Alex Abangan, a biological chemistry major from Birmingham (North Shelby) and the daughter of Rebecca Abangan, and Hillary Hughes, an undecided major from Marianna, Fla., and the daughter of Donald and Paula Hughes.

Sophomore attendants were Meagan Langford, an undecided major from Hueytown and the daughter of Lloyd and Rene Langford, and Kaylee Osland, an undecided major from Littleton, Colo., and the daughter of John and Lynn Osland.

Freshman attendants were Angela Grove, an undecided major from Mobile and the daughter of Gary and Christine Grove, and Ashlyn Rogers, a biology major from Pleasant Grove and the daughter of Brian Rogers of Hoover and Stephanie Rogers of Vestavia.

Montgomery: Dominique Boley of Booker T. Washington Magnet High School, honorable mention; Katherine Bryan of Montgomery Academy, honorable mention; and Dayna Shonk of Booker T. Washington Magnet High School, honorable mention.
