Birmingham-Southern names new members to Norton Board

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College has announced five new members of its Edward Lee Norton Board of Advisors. New members are:

Jeffrey M. Cross of Homewood, president 2B Solutions; Carol A. Herrmann-Steckel of Mountain Brook, commissioner, Alabama Medicaid Agency; Robert R. Pless of Mountain Brook, senior vice president, Regions Bank; Marsha M. Smith of North Shelby, vice president human resources, Colonial Properties Trust; and John C. Thompson of Vestavia, vice president and director of human resources and training, EBSCO Industries, Inc.

Established in 1974 to honor the memory of the late businessman and Birmingham-Southern alumnus, the Edward Lee Norton Board provides “a perpetual forum for mixing the academic and theoretical wisdom of the college with the practical advice of the Birmingham business and professional community.
